Today I had an introduction to Nordic skiing, and I loved it.
Lewis, one of the chefs here is a bit of a nordic skiing pro, and kindly agreed to give Anna and I a lesson. We got some boots and skis fitted in Fuchs House and then headed out around the Point.
Nordic skiing is a bit like hiking in the snow. Your heel is not fixed like in downhill skiing, so you can literally walk. The key is to also try and glide a bit in between each step.
We soon got the hang of it, and got into a bit of a rhythm.
